Mé Bar

Mé Bar is the only rooftop bar in town located in a budget hotel.  It is also the only rooftop bar in Korea Town.  This sets it apart — in a very welcome way — from many of the other bars we've covered.  The drinks are affordable, the crowd is as mixed as you'll find anywhere in Manhattan, and the door is completely democratic: if the bar is full, you wait in line and you're guaranteed to get in.  The space consists of a narrow indoor corridor with a bar at one end and a small adjoining terrace.  The Empire State Building is unobstructed to the north, but the view is otherwise unspectacular.  The low key and relaxing atmosphere makes this the sort of place where you'd consider becoming a regular.
